Our beliefs create our reality, we need to break free from negative thoughts pattern, choose a positive talk versus a negative one, we will strengthen the possibilities of great things happening to us by simply changing the thought frequency we are in. This is to me the meaning of this painting.

Kintsugi

Inspired by the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold. Kintsugi is the general concept of highlighting or emphasizing imperfections, visualizing mends and improvement through destruction and repair or rebirth. Each breaks symbolise a past trauma, a broken heart, a pain, something who have hurt us in our life but thanks to the art of Kintsugi make us stronger.

Notre Dame

"Notre Dame" oil on board started in april 2019 finished just before the end of the year.

This is an homage to the cathedral of Notre Dame. In my distress at the situation I embarked on a mission to create a visual depiction. The church in flames felt like an apocalyptic symbol in an age where the new generations are questioning and losing their traditional faith.

Rise

Shade and light symbolises the human dichotomy of good and evil. The character in this painting is a depiction of Carl Jungs integrated human, one who embraces and balances both the light and dark of the human experience.

'People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own souls. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.' ~Carl Jung, Psychology and Alchemy, Page 99

Red is a very powerful colour and was chosen with the intention to symbolise energy, passion, ambition, determination, desire, fire and love.

Both the title of the painting and the pose of the character are inspired by a powerful lyric from TOOL, in a song named 'Descending'. The hand of the character reaches out toward the viewer and gestures a grip to help you 'rise' upward, toward the center of the image and toward the light.

This painting as been made in Denver during a one on one art workshop with artist CT Nelson, his technic is close to the mischtecnic using oil painting.

What an awesome experience it s been to not plan this painting and let unfold my subconscious into this canvas, letting abstract shape becoming pillars and trees evolving into a color full forest beckoning you in her heart.

I painted this piece during the Visionary Art Intensive Workshop with Alex and Allyson Grey at COSM. This workshop was the most trans-formative experience I’ve ever had artistically. The painting depicts a ‘Goddess of Inspiration and Creativity’ summoning forth an individual to break through their internal resistance on their path to artist self fulfillment. There is the suggestion of a beckoning call to follow your chosen artistic path, and also a breath of inspiration from the Goddess to further embolden the journey toward ultimate creative destiny.

This is my representation of the Multiverse/Parallel Universe.

The path through the middle of the image symbolize our travels through life and every passing possibility. There are two identical characters, they are in different timelines on their life journey, however both of them are yearning toward the divine face, this represents who you inevitably will become.

I wanted to visually display the duality we face when we encounter life events, as each moment and decision could take us down infinite alternative paths. The stoic guardians are representative of guides who help us stay on our path toward our ultimate destiny of self-discovery and self-realization.

Letting Go

I wanted to finish this painting before the end of the year and here it is. This painting is called 'Letting Go'. This to me represents our temple, our heart, losing something special represented here by the raft carrying a man, our emotional baggage, navigating an ocean of sorrow to the deep hole that we feel in our hearts when we are feeling like we are losing someone or something. The pain that we can't let go of is represented by this gigantic stone god, screaming out his frustration. But deep in his throat, the pain and suffering passes, and you can see light and peace, beckoning you to surrender.

So for the end of 2018, I invite you to let go of what no longer serves you and to enter into a fresh new state of mind for 2019.

I realized this painting after Boom Festival 2018. This represent an incredible experience that I leaved at the Dance Temple. I tried to represent as much as I can the feeling of healing and powerful energy I felt by feeling the presence of my ancestors around me. An experience that I wish anyone could live once in their lifetime.
